Bronx High School of Science Parents' Assocation

Welcome Message from our Co-Presidents – November 27th, 2016

November 27th, 2016

Hello Bronx Science Parents:

At this time of giving thanks, we want all Bronx Science families to know that we are grateful to be part of such a vibrant, diverse and strong community. We are deeply troubled by the recent rise of hate crimes in our city, and we want to make sure that our families know their rights and are armed with the tools they need in case they are the victim of discrimination. We are also keenly aware that many immigrant communities in NYC are very concerned about the future of their rights. To that end, we also want to provide links to organizations that can inform immigrants of their legal rights, and can help with immigration-related issues.

Please remember the law: All children in the United States have a right to a free public education regardless of their race, ethnic background, religion, or sex, or whether they can speak English, or are rich or poor, citizen or non-citizen. All children, including undocumented immigrants, have the right to go to public school.
